Step Back to the 1940s: Veterans Dance Returns November 13

All news

Dust off your dancing shoes and your sharpest vintage attire — the Annual Community Veterans Dance returns on Friday, November 13, 2026, bringing an evening of big-band music and 1940s glamour to Orem in honor of our local veterans.

Hosted by the Family Leadership Academy at the Luna Event Center (1175 N 1200 W, Orem), the dance runs from 7:00 to 9:30 PM and features a live 20-piece band playing the swing and standards of the wartime era. This 1940s-themed formal is open to anyone 14 and older, and it’s a wonderful way for the whole community to come together and show appreciation for those who have served.

In keeping with the spirit of the evening, veterans and a guest get in free. For everyone else, an Early Bird Special runs $20 per couple or $12 stag, with tickets at the door priced at $25 per couple or $15 stag. The event is 16+ girls’ choice, with 14+ welcome to attend stag.

Whether you come to dance, to listen, or simply to honor the veterans in our community, it promises to be a memorable night. Register online at veteransdance.org, and plan to arrive dressed in your best 1940s formal wear.

Let’s fill the floor and make this a night our veterans won’t forget.
