American Legion Post 72 has proudly served the Orem, Utah community and our nation's veterans for decades
The American Legion was chartered by Congress in 1919 as a patriotic veterans organization. Focusing on service to veterans, servicemembers, and communities, the Legion evolved from a group of war-weary veterans of World War I into one of the most influential nonprofit groups in the United States.
Post 72 in Orem, Utah continues this proud tradition of service. We are dedicated to mentoring youth and sponsoring wholesome programs in our community, advocating patriotism and honor, promoting strong national security, and continued devotion to our fellow servicemembers and veterans.
Supporting veterans through service programs, assistance, and advocacy for those who have served our nation.
Advocating for a strong national defense and supporting policies that protect America and its interests.
Promoting patriotism, citizenship, and respect for the flag through education and community programs.
Investing in the future through youth programs including Boys State, oratorical contests, and scholarships.
To ask the tough questions. To listen. To reach out.
Every day, 22 veterans die by suicide. The American Legion's "Be the One" mission calls on everyone to help change this. You don't need to be a mental health expert β you just need to be willing to reach out, listen without judgment, and help connect veterans to the support they deserve.
If you've served in the U.S. Armed Forces during wartime, you're eligible to join the American Legion. Become part of our community of veterans dedicated to service.
